Kateryna Kalytko

Kateryna Kalytko (born 1982) is an award-winning writer and translator, PEN Ukraine member. She is the author of seven poetry volumes. The last two of them, Bunar and  Torture Chamber. Vineyard. Home has brought her the LitAccent of the Year Prize (2018 and 2014 respectively). Kateryna also published her two books of short prose, namely M(h)ysteria and The Land of All Those Lost, or Creepy Little Tales. Her selected writings have been translated into more than ten languages. Kateryna Kalytko is a winner of the BBC Book of the Year Contest and the Joseph Conrad Award holder in 2017 – for “the prose writing, which raises actual problems, makes you think and expands knowledge about other cultures”. She’s the CEI Fellowship for Writers in Residence holder in 2015,  KulturKontakt Austria fellow in 2018 and the Reading Balkans prorgram fellow in 2019. She’s currently working on her first novel.
